About ITBloke

  1. I'm sorry you had a bad time of it cmpwat... my comment wasn't a pop at you.
  2. Hi Guys Don't get stressed over consultants being brought in by SLT, it's common practice. Use them to your advantage, just be prepared with all the evidence you need to get them on your side then use them to put your ideas across. They can be a big crowbar to getting extra funding for upgrades and new kit for your network, don't fear them, use them. I've had three of these experiences in the 13 years I've been at our school, every time ended in vast improvements to network infrastructure, be wary of the big sell though, a lot of these "consultants" are just salesmen with technical knowledge, make sure what they're suggesting is what your school needs.
  3. I'm using the import-csv command to create new mailboxes however when I run the Ps1 the routine errors at new-mailbox command saying that its not a valid command????? Low and behold when I search the list of available commands it is not there. Has anyone else had this problem??? I going to reinstall powershell and hope that cures it, but would be interested to know...
  4. Ah TMG server... Export cert as pfx copy to TMG server install in mmc, then assign to the firewall listener rule. If I had my brain in gear... this is the only certificate the outside world sees. Thanks network41.
  5. Yes, I'm afraid I have... this one is beginning to mash my swede.
  6. I installed the intermediate cert with mmc then tried the iis cert through iis but got the error, then tried to install through mmc into personal store and import into web store which all looked OK but when you visit the site the certificate is out of date
  7. Yes I've checked the folder permissions as per recommendation from a few site but the message persists. I'm logged in as a domain admin with full control of the folder...
  8. Can anyone help me with this please? Trying to renew certificate on "PARS/Insight web access for parents" site on a virtual windows server 2012, IIS 8, but every time I try to complete certificate request I get the following error... Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)) Is there a fix for this? I've followed instructions to the 'enth degree and I'm starting to get dizzy.
  9. Thanks Domino but I've been down that link before, I think its really old and the software download is not compatible, but never mind I will go back to the board of drawings... Unless anyone else out there has modifying headers for You Tube for Schools working on server 2008 R2 64 bit running TMG Version: 7.0.9193.500
  10. I know, I know, lazy, but can anyone tell me how to get you tube for schools working? Or is there a step by step guide somewhere that works? Many thanks in advance...
