We have been using Office 2010 with Sims since Sep 2010. We have not had an issues with Sims and Office 2010 regarding compatibility, reports extract fine into Office. I thought for consideration might be uses training as there is a change in menu layout which most staff will need to some getting used to, especially for those who are going to go from 2003 to 2010

Where do i find the mst, the msi is on the homepage but no mst?

Hi i might be a bit dim here. Installed shutdown on server 2008r2 so added it to group policy and enabled desired settings. This did not work on my client machines. Do i have to push client software to the client machine for this to work?

Sorry guys that was snapin. What i meant was installed the template into the gp snapin. But this is not having any effect on the client machine.

Thanks for that guys. Installed the sanpin to Group Policy. But not filtering onto client machines. Am i missing something is there a client install or should it be pushed through GP

Hi am looking for a script or software which would allow me to schedule remote shutdown on our network computers (Student machines in classroom). I have tried puting in a script in to GPO Startup script batch file but with no success. Code is AT 18.00 SHUTDOWN -S -F -T 60 -C "This machine will shut down in 60 seconds please save all your work"

Hiya guys, at moment we i am using Gen Control to connect to staff or pupil machines. Great little app which does not need to be installed and you could run it from anywhere. Problem is since windows 7 Gen Control does not connect to the client on Windows 7 Runs from windows 7 to server 2003 xp etc. but cannot connect to another windows 7 client. Any Help what what you guys use or if you have come across this problem. Looking for a FREEWARE peeps

Give administrators full rights at the top of the Userdata Share and Staff read/write rights and inherit them through the userdata share. Thats how you should have the network share setup. Still confused on that the only person who has rights on user folders is the user. Administrators must have rights to perform task such as back up.

You will find that the school proxy setting is not allowing them to connect to their isp, Free softeware called proxypal disables that without the teacher having to go in to tool - internet options etc etc. That should fix the prob

I agree with you vegas for network manager and multi media, that is short. But then again depends on what the work load demands are:D
