About TBOS

  1. Okay I don't actually have a system set up I was going through some scenarios. So here's a scenario for you, this not necessarily education related. I have 150 thin client terminals. I want these 150 thin clients to connect to 2 terminal servers running Server 2003, for simplicity sake, 75 thin clients log onto each terminal server. I want these 150 thin client terminals to access applications via Citrix Presentation server. What licences and how many of each from Citrix and Microsoft would you need? There would be no external access via the web and no mobile devices connecting to these servers, all users would be based at the same place.
  2. So for example you've got 10 thin clients connecting to the server at the same time you would need: 10x server CALS 10x TS Device or TS user CAL?
  3. I have been trying to get my head around this for a couple of days, I think I've got it figured out then I read something that puts a spanner in the works. When a thin client terminal accesses Windows Server 2003, would 2 types of licence need to be used at the time i.e. a Device CAL and a TS CAL? That's how I interpreted it when looking at the Microsoft site.
