    Coming from a cable tv background, I started as a broadband network certification tech and then designer in 1985. Moved over to PC networks (Novell, MS) as a Systems/Network Engineer (Cisco, Extreme, LAN/WAN/WLAN, MS, Citrix) and worked my way up to a Network Manager position. Due to economics and a poor job market, I am now consulting as a Systems Admin. I have now added EMC Centera, Celleron, SourceOne, and VMWare to my repertoir.

    No, we are not.

    It is my understanding that 2003 TS CALs cannot be installed on a 2008 server. Since I currently have a 2003 TS server in place and have built a new 2008 TS server, am I allowed to "trade in" my 2003 licenses for 2008 licenses? Is a trade-up allowed by Microsoft Clearing and is it done at no cost or am I going to be required to purchase new 2008 licenses outright?
