Has it made a difference to costs using Papercut?

Hi all, Does any of you know how much you print each month? I've been running the free Papercut for 5 weeks to see how much we are printing and the figures have come out at around 14,000! This is from just 2 colour laserjet printers and doesnt include any of the photocopying or printing made from local printers. Is this a lot for a primary school? Also does anyone have any ball park figures on what each print out may cost. I'm thinking of getting the full version of Papercut but im not sure it will be worth it. Thank you!!

Clearing all files in the temp folder and replacing with the administrator temp files seems to have worked.

Yes i saw that post but that didn't work and neither did deleting the ap3l extension files :|

Hi all, A member of staff has given me their laptop as everytime you try to open Activ Primary 3 it shows a pop with run time error '380' Invalid Property value I've tried an uninstall and reinstall. Tried installing it on another user profile. Tried deleting out these files: \My Documents\Activprimary 3\apsettings3.ini & \My Documents\Activprimary 3\approfilepath3.ini Still.....i'm getting the run time error. Any ideas?? I'm stumped. Thanks

Hi everyone, This only happens on staff and pupil accounts (not when logged on as administrator). When you click log off a pop up comes up with the "End Program - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe" and you can't log off from the machine before clicking end now. Any ideas what it could be?? Thanks!

Hi all, I’m looking just looking for some advice! I’ve been an IT technician for about a year now and feeling like i need a bigger challenge or to just learn something that will help me progress in the future! Although i’m not even sure which route to take at the moment! I’m wanting to learn more about Windows Server 2008, AD, group policy etc and also virtualisation. Would there be anything else that would be really useful to learn?? Thinking of maybe setting up a virtual lab with vmware, but not sure where to start to be honest??Advice would be much appreciated! Hi all, We have a lot of old kit here and i was wondering how you dispose of yours? I know some companies do wipe the hard drives however would it be better to wipe them beforehand? Also, who do you use? I was thinking of using Computer Aid. Thanks!

hey everyone, I've not been on edugeek that long and i've been reading some interesting posts! I've been in my position as an IT Technician for just over a year,getting some great experience and i love it! However, i'm looking to expand my knowledge and skills further now and have no idea where to start?! There's so much information out there and different qualifications it can be quite daunting! I haven't yet checked with another pc. I'm inclined to think that it is definitely the projector as if i look up into the projector lamp i can see the blue line and yellowish colour. Thanks for the replies

Hi all. We have a 3 week old Hitachi ED-A220N Projector, which has in the past few days has been showing quite bad yellow streaks all down the image and also a bright blue strip down one side. I have tried various VGA cables, changed settings, powered on and off, tried different splitters and still no luck!! Any ideas?
