  3. Hi Can anyone suggest a good supplier for RM batteries, we have tried numerous from ebay but these fail to be recognised via windows and wont charge. Kelway are unale to suppy these anymore and we have in excess of 30 laptops that are sat there doing nothing. Or can anyone suggest a way to get these china clones to recognise. Appreciate your assistance as laptops are only 2 years old. Regards.
  4. Hiya Thanks for replying, Still finding these details out but i believe we run both solus 2 and 3 sites, Thanks for the link i will take a look at this. Regards
  5. Hi All Sorry if this has been posted, I am in a role that requires me to upgrade sims and just wondering if there is a step by step guide i could follow, With regards to backing up SQL etc. I understand all schools are different but in the past i have not needed to touch the sims server as it was managed by the provider direct. I have searched through post but couldnt see anything that stood out. Thanks for reading.
  6. Hi If you dont mind purchasing software try acronsis. it is what i use and works great i did a batch of 30 machines that were to bee off network and using one to install all software. just need usb drive and boot cd which comes with it. Its in usual places to evaluate :-> rgds James
  7. As others have said be yourself. I myself started out in it at age 24 coming from telecomms back ground. i had little experience and have worked for numerous companies now settled with an academy and other than being classed as an engineer get left to run the site myself most days. as others have said be yourself and dont be afraid to admit if you are learning and not sure about some roles within the job. I stood out from the crowd by not flannelling them and got the job for honesty. worth also pushing on your strenghts even if seems silly to you. Cheers James
