  1. The DEP option didnt work, but we may have cracked it. It seems that by adding http://mail.myvle.org/ as a trusted site corrects the problem. Have not had time to fully test it due to teacher training day, but i will see what happens next week.
  2. will try it this afternoon thanks
  3. Both IE 7 & 8. It works ok in FireFox though.
  4. We are now fully zimbra, things are not too bad, except we have zimbra shutting down IE when trying to go in via advanced mode. This is random, random people and random machines. Go in via standard and alls fine......Any ideas any one:lie:
  5. :feedtroll::feedtroll:We have a Thecus Nas with 2Tb of storage, and its pants, its supposed to be AD aware, it is when it wants to be. Access rights fail frequently leaving users with no access. It allows access when using its IP number but yet when trying to use its DNS name it falls over We are scraping it and going to try it out as a media streaming server. Cant beat a good old windows server filled with masses of drive space. There are a lot of reasoably priced servers, and you know you can add an extra sever role to it if needed.
  6. We have had this happen to us, we thought it was a faulty switch also, we found out it was the DNS that was playing up. We corrected the problem by deleting and rebuilding the forward and reverse lookup zones. Things went fine for a couple of months, but it came back, in the end we had to rebuild the whole of the dns from scratch and repair part of the AD (with the help of microsoft). I would not rule out DNS and advise you check it and test it properly it can be costly getting microsoft in (fortunatley I had the sense to continue our server maintenance contract, which my boss now realises was a good move as he saw it as an expense which we hardly used, so we hadnt got to find the repair bill)
