  1. You may have to shut down anything that accesses the internet during the web server install.
  2. Tech console behaves more like a "normal" app. It gets launched from the Start menu, not automatically from the system tray. It does go to the system tray and from that point on you can launch or minimize it back to the tray just like the LanSchool teacher, but the very first behaviour is NOT to go to the tray until you want it to. This was by design, as ICT guys usually have too much stuff up an running and we thought they would just launch it when they wanted it. Plus it does start pulling inventory right after it is launched so we didn't want that to be forced on to the user. But if you are used to LanSchool classroom management software and how it is just there when you boot, it might be something you miss. Switching back and forth between Tech Console and LanSchool is also done from the Start menu, but they share services so only one can run at a time. Does that help?
