@kmount No recovery tool available, the model is acer aspire 5520 @mrwobbly suspecting same, ve tried that but all remains the same.

I cant even get to the bios settings as the systems goes off and on without getting to the bios stage, i just see the cpu fan working and then nothing else...no display on screen. I have tried reseating the memory but still the problem continues.

I have been having issues with my laptop like freezing after just about 30 mins of usage, i decided to update the bios to v1.33 which i downloaded from acer's website. After the successful update, the laptops boots but restarts continuously even without getting to the bios screen.
