Hi Marc, I just purchased another XL8U the other day, for $62 USD (with S/H). When it arrived, I took it apart and the polarizer-filters are in good condition (I just saved $153.90). It took me 2-3 hours to fix the power supplier, which had a few sheared wires due to heavy impact. Now the projector works like new. Pretty good, huh! Well, thank you for your replies and advices.

Hi Marc, The supplier in Irvine, CA, USA (888)307-0309, Opt 2 emailed me an Exposed pdf of the XL8U for ease of parts selection. By looking at the Exploded View of the projector and gave them the name of the part, which they then search for its part number. They do have it in stock for $153.90 USD. The filters comes in a bundle of 3: Red, Green, Blue. I'm debating w/ myself wheather I should fix it or replace it. 'Cause it would come out to $258 for the new lamp and filters. Yes, I have inspected the outter and inner polarizing filters that sandwich the 3 LCD panels, and only one got burnt. By the way, the lamp just gave up the ghost... which explane why there's a blurry video image. Take care Marc.

Okay, I'll send them an email. Thank you. Yes and no, I found the filter that causes the yellow tint in the center, and removed it, but now the whole screen is yellowish. So this could also be a cable or blue-LCD panel issue... I will find out as soon as I replace the polerizing filter. Again thanks Marc.

Hi Marc, Don't mind if I ask: where can you buy a replacement polering filter for the XL8U projector? (locolly prefferable).
