  1. Sorted it all out. Had to delete a few files and reinstall the agent again.
  2. So you can't go into solus3 on the server and deploy it to a workstation because your lea manage it?
  3. Why are you running the manual install? Try removing it from add and remove programs and then going onto your server and deploying it to that machine?
  4. What do you mean remove target definition?
  5. Try disabling the firewall at the domain level and then deploying the agent again to see if that is the issue? If it works then look into exceptions if it doesn't you know the problems else where.
  6. Have you disabled the firewall on the server for the domain?
  7. You need to disable the firewall on both the client machine and the server. Then it should run fine.
  8. How can i get hold of the simssapplicationsetup? Using solus2?
  9. Yeah tried removing agent and installing it again but no joy. Did that before removing from domain. It installs the agent fine but won't deploy sims. Wish there was a way to just install sims manually
  10. Cheers for the reply matt. Actually docstorage was setup correctly. For some reason i had to copy the reportstempfolder back into the users profile over writing the current one and thats sorted the problem. So no i had done the migration correctly. Also it was working fine before i did the update with solus3 so something must of changed with the update. Also worked fine at all the other migrations ive done this summer. As for the object already exists Capita havent a clue why its happening. Been on the phone to them all day with no resolution and told that a developer of solus3 will have to ring me about it. Ive took the machine off the domain, delete dns records, renamed the machine, uninstalled solus agent, removed sims off the machine, put the machine back on the domain and tried again but still the same. Works fine on all the other machines. Apparently that error occurs when the user to install sims on a machine thats not on the same domain. Have been searching to see if there is somewhere that has the information about what machines are on the solus3 database but couldnt find anything. Matt you got any ideas?
  11. Well got another wonderful problem with solus3. Just done a server migration and everything was working. Installed solus3 and tested... All ok. Installed summer upgrade and now got a strange issue. Some reports will run and some come up with the error "path not found" Anyone got any ideas? Also got one machine I can't install sims onto. Solid agent is on it but when sending the upgrades it says "object already exists" Have uninstalled sims and solus agent but still says it. Any ideas?
  12. Sorted it now matt. Capita did a remote and after about an hour he put a proxy exception in and it started working. Now got another problem about tolerance not met on package.
  13. On server 2008 and getting the same error. Have ran netsh to set the proxy but no joy.
  14. Sorry should of said these are going to be standalone machines. They are netbooks.
  15. Its version 3.3 which this school paid capita to install. I know there are issues with this release so is it a case that 3.4 needs to go on to get this working? Ended up downloading the update through solus2. Will try solus 3 at another school today and see how that goes.
  16. Right im wondering if anyone has a peice of software or a script to do this? Basically im wanting to be able to have the school say they are in year 6 so it sets the year 6 printer as default. I know this can be done easily through a script but does anyone want to lend a hand or have something setup like this?
  17. Well i thought id ask on here rather than ringing capita its self to see if you could give me a quick reply. Ive downloaded the updates through solus 3 but when deploying them it fails saying an error occured with the deployment plan. Here is the log 2011-07-19 11:11:47.0602|CanExecutePlan()|Info|DS|Verifying deployment plan ffe548cf-5bdb-46f7-ac61-783d2b26e177. 2011-07-19 11:11:47.9196|Execute()|Info|DS|Calling proxy for package status check 2011-07-19 11:12:29.3878|Execute()|Error|DS|A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 213.129.90.213:80 2011-07-19 11:12:29.4034|Execute()|Error|DS|A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond 213.129.90.213:80 From loking at that its like it cant connect to the ipaddress. The proxy part is blank in the settings as we use embc proxy and when i put that in it flags it red. Any help would be welcomed.
  18. Yeah is a primary school with only a few machines using sims so not that much data going back and forth really. So is there anything i need to look out for with installing it to a fresh CC4 server or is it just like installing it to any other server?
  19. Nah its going to be a new RM server so will be spec'd up enough to run them both.
  20. How would SIMS and RMVP5 kill it? Also dont want to go down the virtual server route.
  21. Dont want a member server though. Its all going on one And i hope you find them john.
  22. If based in northamptonshire i know a few good companies to use. Inbox me if you likes.
  23. Well ive got a few schools that have SIMS installed on the CC4 server and it works with no problems at all. But as im going to be installing it my self i was just wondering if anything different needs to be done to the server or whether SIMS can just be installed onto the CC4 server without a problem.
  24. I Wouldnt touch them. Done a few installs that ive seen and dont even talk to the school about what they want they just lock everything down and make it a complete nightmare for the staff.
