  1. Hi all, Can anyone tell me what table in the SQL database for moodle holds the text that appears on the course page? We lost courses and I have the course files but need to try and get the entered text back, can't find any lose files with the text and have been advised it is stored within the database. I have basic knowledge of SQL report writing but just cant connect the dots. Thanks in advance.
  2. After a change of scenary & some thinking from a different angle I have solved most of my problems and have GPO's running and doing most of what I want. Not sure if I need answers to the questions any more but feel free to answer them if you think it would help for my understanding.
  3. Hi all, I have managed to get WDS installing Windows 7 via a couple of key presses and am pleased for that. I have been scratching my head why things arent happening as they should be after the install. It turns out that 2 of 3 gpo's are running but the one created for the testing of modifying Windows 7 isnt running (gpresult /r). I have some questions if I may? Ho How do i get the required policy to run? It should do folder redirection and changes to startmenu (gui stuff really) Is RSAT required to be installed to the Windows 7 client pc for GPO's to run? We have 1 2003 DC with schema and 2 2008 DC's - would this cause a problem? (The 2003 holds most FSMO) The only GPO templates I can find for Win7 are adml files which I can't import as a GPO. (have discovered that they live on the client pc) Do the ADML files need to be installed (RSAT for example) to the DC's? (The GPOs are processing from a 2008 DC & not the 2003) Any help would be great, thanks.
  4. Yes that is correct but it is more so an Outreach site, not my home, that is the concern as when the IP changes we have to update a RDP rule in the ISA. May sound a bit green here but what log file?
  5. Any one got any ideas on this for me?
  6. The computers that will be connecting are computers owned by staff/students. We have two WiFi SSID's domain and non-domain but authenticated via RADIUS. Am trying to find the best way for students/staff to authenticate through RADIUS with their logon details but at the moment that information has to be supplied as you join the SSID. Would prefer an open SSID with a landing page on the arrays (Xirrus) that sends you to a webpage for RADIUS authentication, then allows you to browse.
  7. Hi all, Is there any way I can bend the rules within ISA so I can use MS RDC and enter a FQDN instead of its IP? At the moment my home & outreach server I can access from work using their WAN IP address but the FQDN (name.dyndns.org for example) just error. I read somewhere that RDC doesn't allow FQDN's but internally resolved ones work fine, also that you can use a HTTP parser?? within ISA to allow external FQDNs. Hope that makes sense and someone can help?
  8. Hi all, I've had a look through but can't find exactly what I need so thought I would ask. I have used Server 2008 R2 NPS to setup RADIUS with unsigned cert and non domain clients are connecting through the WiFi fine authenticating with their logon account. However - the clients need to have the SSID configured for PEAP etc. As you cant expect people to wade through a doc on how to set up a SSID I designed a VB app to run from a usb drive and it installs the SSID for XP, Vista & 7 OS. Works fine but we have a few thousand students so not the best solution. Therefore RADIUS is working (as a solution) but is it possible to make an open SSID and put the RADIUS requirements within a webpage instead?
