issue still not solved. Turned firewall off, same problem. It worked fine and then suddenly it stopped. I can't find terminal services in services though, which is odd. I can remote into other machines from the server just fine and logmein works. It's just an issue with using RDP to get onto the server.

Is there a way to push out a desktop icon to all users through active directory on a windows standard 2003 server to windows 7 pc's?

Is there a simpler method, similar to what I was using before. I'm not too hot on scripts yet?

I would prefer to fix it because it could be a sign of deeper issues although I might try VNC out in addition.

Has anyone ever experienced an issue with not being able to connect to their servers/pc's via remote desktop, despite all the settings configured appropriately on the target machine? Cheers

Hi Guys We'ce recently put in around 50 windows 7 pc's into a school migrating from windows xp. I used to have a printer script that would execute at startup, which was simply; \\server name\printer name which worked perfectly well whether it was a logon script or you typed it in command prompt. It still works if you type it in the address bar but not in command prompt or as a logon script. I was wondering if anyone could provide me with an alternative? Cheers
