I put my files on it. unplugged it an plugged it back in to make sure it worked copied files back an an forth to check unplugged it an reinstalled windows after that nothing...it was literally a couple hours later. It wasn't mistreated or anything like that.

  4. I tested the usb on another pc with windows 7 and it to asked me to format.
  5. No, on the another drive marked G:. Haven't been able to test it in another pc yet. It will be tomorrow before I can do that. I will post with results of that. Also I do have other USB thumb drives an I'm able to access those fine.. But the one in question is just a generic drive the other two are a Sandisk an GeekSquad.
  6. I reinstalled Windows XP Pro an now I'm trying to figure out how to access my USB thumb drive, With all my personal pics an program setup files. It worked flawless before I reinstalled but now I can't access the files. Device manager recognizes it an assigns it a drive letter. But all it does is ask me if I want to format that drive?? I tried uninstalling it in device manager then plugging back, but that didn't work either, but it did show up in my computer labeled like it used to before the new install after I did that "UDISK(G: )", but than it swaps to a unlabeled drive "removable disk(G: )" before I can get to it. It only pops up like for a few secs than switches to the unlabeled. Please Help!!!
