  1. I created 2 printers via iManager/iPrint/create Printer 1)pr-lan-1 : for printer attached to the network via Intel Netport printserver (IP = 192.168.7.97) This results in a gateway configuration = "NDPSGW PORT=LPR HOSTADDRESS=192.168.7.97 PRINTERNAME=LPT1_PASSTHRU" The printer is visible on the ipp server page, can be installed on a XPPSP3 workstation (with iPrint client 5.60) and works fine 2)pr-srv-lpt1 : for printer directly attached to the lpt1 port of the server (HP XW6000 with NSBS65SP8 IP = 192.168.7.51) Via iManager/iPrint/create Printer I cannot select the local LPT1 port so I choose some simple or default values This results in a gateway configuration = "NDPSGW PORT=LPR HOSTADDRESS=192.168.7.51 PRINTERNAME=PASSTHROUGH" On the serverconsole I used the NDPSmanager screen/configuration to modify the printer(agent)pr-srv-lpt1 . Here I can select the Novell Gateway , Novell Port Handler and finally the LPT1/IRQ7 . I saved the configuration and unloaded and reloaded the NDPSM. Via iManager/iPrint/Manage printer I checked the pr-srv-lpt1 : gateway configuration = "NDPDS" The printer is also visible on the ipp server page and can be installed on a XPPSP3 workstation. By testing the printer it went wrong : i tried to print a test page .. nothing happened ... print again, ok page printed. Tried to print a document (IE8 printscreen of a website), nothing, print again, ok page printed. I switched several times between printing of the test page and the document ... finally the server crashed It seems the NDPSM loads the PH.NLM & NDPDS.NLM to support printing on the server lpt1 port. Maybe this (old) PH.NLM makes the server crash ? I found some related info NDPSM Loads Very VERY Slowly
  2. Iprint on NW65SP8 works fine for a printer attached to the network by a printserver. I'm looking for the parameters for iprint to install a printer on the local lpt1 or com1 port of the server.
