We are about to do the same upgrade. Anyone care to recommend a supplier?

We are investigating the possibility of a set of school owned tablets (probably android based rather than ipads), for use in a set of 2 classrooms. They would be used by a single department, who would want to use the Internet, We are an Office 365 school with a new installation of Smoothwall and a Meru/Fortinet Wii solution What are the best options of managing the devices, in terms of updates and pushing out apps. We would want to track individual users usage on the internet, can users be forced to authenticate to Smoothwall valid their AD credentials every session, with an auto logout after perhaps 5 minutes of inactivity?

Any recommendations for a decent quality mouse. We probably need 30 or so to stock up on spares!

Can I have the contacts please
-
Thanks all

Yes, I did call the Bristol office, they sent a letter back explaining they were too busy on this occasion...... I know they have done work locally previously. Very odd...

Thanks Antlear. As a catholic college, we use the sports hall for Mass for the whole college (approx 1000 people) around once a month. We have a good standalone setup, with the audio very much as you describe, and two floor mounted projectors and screens. The solution works well but is a pain to set up every month so we are looking for an installed solution....
-
No, not much progress, Stage Electrics have declined to quote as they are too busy......
-
I have been asked to look at installing projection and possibly fixed sound into our sports hall. Obviously, we need to protect the equipment from flying balls etc! We are based in Essex, any suggestions as to who I might approach to quote for this work. Many thanks

I can't see them in raise...

I'm trying to find out where I can download our KS2 fine level scores so I can import them into SIMS. I cannot find them in Keys to Success (although I can find the test raw so I am at a loss! Any ideas?
-
Thanks all for your comments. I didn't think I had missed anything in SIMS! We don't currently have a VLE as it was getting so little use Whatever we use has to be VERY easy for teachers to use and control - anyone use any such systems for electronic mark books?
-
Does anyone know if SIMS can be used easily to store teachers homework / class work grades & marks. We already use Assessment Manager for data entry so would like to be able to use something similar that keeps track of class changes but allows staff to create their own columns to store the results of their classes. Ideally these results would also be able to be seen by their HOD. If not in SIMS, does anyone use any other system? Thanks in advance
-
Thanks all for your comments, I will investigate the options @PhilNeal - the user interface mostly, our parents say it does not look user friendly and it hard to learn so they stop going to it, they do like the information but do not find it easy to use.
-
I'm looking for a more parent friendly way of displaying data from SIMS - Learning Gateway works but is quite complicated for our parents Is anyone using anything else?

Anyone know if VOIP can be added to the ex BT Meridian BCM We currently are looking to provide a line into the school house which is on site but approx 500m across the car park from the nerest phone point VOIP would be much cheaper than digging up the car park (Assuming we can get our Rukus system extended that far!)
