yip all those are good I would have preferred the Biometric rout but the school did not .. so we use help desk requests (spiceworks) from staff only and they are dealt with right away .

we use biometric's here with a firm called Cunninghams catering who installed the kit. they offered us an automatic password changing device which could easily be installed in ICT rooms. The kids place their finger on the reader and it generates random 4 letter password plus 1234 if I remember correctly (kite1234) this would allow a student to login and change it. we did not buy into this, but its an idea I supposed .

Hi sorry for delay... yep we have done that infact we added a whole range of IP address's as well.The thing is sometimes it works sometimes it don't mostly don't. We think it might be something with the UTM 1000 firewall we have here which works with our Guardian box.I just thought someone might know. Guardian took a copy of the Guarian settings but as yet they have not got back to us.It is driving the fronter Guy at school nuts.

Hi yep I have the same problem at School some help would be great we have Smoothwall?Guardian plus UTM1000...We get no help from either Smoothwall or Fronter
