Morning all, The last few days ive been trying to fix a runtime error that occurrs when you go to Orientate a SMARTBoard. I have updated .NET Framework and Java, but the error still stands. I will post the error to see what you guys make of it. runtimeerror.bmp Many thanks!

As i am aware, they are just Plug & Play ones which work with ALICE.

Hey guys, Sorry if this is a repeated subject but: Im looking for a free piece of software in which i can use the Librarian's Bar code scanner to scan the bar codes found on most of the equipment on the site into a microsoft excel Spreadsheet? Im sure theres many of you who have done this? Many thanks!

Yes, only today have i tried this, i managed to pull out 2 msi's both fail as soon as you click them basically (not a valid windows install apparently) This is a great annoyance thanks to SMART.

i have extracted the msi's from the exe file. But still no luck, the installation fails straight away if i start one of the .msi

Morning Sparkeh, only just got your message from Thursday evening. I tried to find some switches for a silent install last week but had no luck. If only this was an msi!!

hey sparkeh, i just tested this package. it worked but didnt work, so to speak. but when the clean up is complete, it asks for user input: Yes to restart No to Not Restart I can initiate a restart to the machine using the RMMC, but this causes it to try and install the package again. I need the computer to restart so it tells RMMC that it has installed successfully. This is a promising start though!

if you could talk me through it that would be great sparkeh, if you dont mind of course?

I had thought this first, but its an .exe file. i was told this wouldn't work unless it was .msi?

Well ive managed to install it completely fine! visually SmartBoard 9.7 was uninstalled. but event viewer said different. i ran the board95cleanup.exe and reset the machine again. with INSTALL_PENDING on both packages. this did the trick! Now i need to find a way of creating a batch file to silently clean the interactive whiteboard machines so i can push this package out with no more issues! I dont suppose you have any idea on this? Hi Guys, I have been given a job to create a script that will allow me to start an executable file from the server. I would like all Interactive Whiteboard Machines to execute 'board95cleanup.exe' This will uninstall smartboard 9.7. The reason for this: a couple of months ago i was asked to install smartboard 10. 9.7 became an issue as we couldnt uninstall this in the normal fashion via the RMMC. board95cleanup.exe works if done by hand. But this will take a lot of time. SMARTboard drivers and notebook version 10.x can be installed fine using the RMMC. i just need to get rid of SmartBoard 9.7 first. i have some experience using basic bat file codes but this is indeed a challenge for me! Can anyone help me out? Much Appreciated.

These were the ones i was using Sparkeh, i was going to message you privately. But i didnt want to waste your time. AppAgent installed these packages for you fine then? Cause its really not liking me as much!

Hey guys, I am aware there are similar posts already on the forums. But none are as clear as i hoped. The past few days ive been trying to roll out a working package of SMARTBoard 10 for our CC3 Network. Using the Install manager i have been able to create the 2 .mst files (1 for notebook and 1 for product drivers) to my preference and then saving it to the appropriate folder. After this i open app wizard up, and create the packages so they can then be allocated to workstations. I have then edited the .ini file (in the package server) with 'WITransform=drivers.mst' and then saved it. (same goes for notebook.mst) I allocate the package to my test workstation, but this never seems to work :/. i have tried using Orca to apply the transform before creating the package in app wizard, this does not work for me either and the final result being 'Install_Failed' on both packages. Has anyone else had this problem? or Am i doing something stupidly wrong? Much Appreciated if you guys can help me with this! Thanks!
