Please save me from tearing my hair out! We have a Moodle set up, which was running version 2.0.3 on Win2008r2SP1 with IIS and SQL. We have been using LDAP authentication and enrollment fine (using samaccountname as the userID). Part of the summer work was to upgrade to version 2.1.1 and implement HTTPS, which both went fine. Now it seems that LDAP Enrolment has been broken. Authentication still works, and enrolment works if I run the CLI PHP sync script. But it does not run on log in! Or perhaps rather it does run, but incorrectly, as I have it set to unenrol users from a course if they are removed from the AD groups. What happens in that case is that when a user logs in they are unenrolled from all their courses if they were enrolled in them via LDAP. (perhaps it sees the groups but believes they are not in it?) I've rolled back the version of Moodle and undone all the changes made, but its still broken, nothing has changed with AD etc and I've triple checked all the settings in Moodle. Thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!

Hi, I can confirm that sequencing works when it is run on XP, we cannot make it work on windows 7. The sequenced packages do run on a win7 client regardless of being sequenced on XP. Thanks to Paid_Peanuts for his assistance on this. If you want to sequence on win7 you may have some luck running the indvidual MSIs rather than setup.exe.

I'm starting a project in the sequencer, pointing it to simsapplicationsetup.exe as the installer already. I can configure the paths, which I set as "q" wherever "c" drive is, click to install and that is as far as it goes, just sits there.

Can anybody point me in the right direction for sequencing SIMS.net with Appv? My versions are SIMS Spring 2011 and app-v 4.6 SP1 on Win 7 x86. WHen I attempt to sequence the SIMS installed hangs at 'installing sims infrastructure.' I've also heard some folders should be excluded?

ok well that is the first time ive heard that. Yhgfl themselves have told me that reverse proxy stuff is working and that my problem must be internal!

Hi Anybody else having reverse proxy issues after the upgrade work this week? I know it was definitely working last Friday evening and that nothing has changed internally since then. I have also checked that our domain name host has the correct DNS settings to point to rp???-wak.yhgfl.net and that nothing definitely shows up in our external firewall. Correct me if I'm wrong but regardless of whether the firewall/web server is working internally at my school (I know it is but for the sake of argument) , I should get: 1. Type the URL into a standard browser from outside and it will show the untrusted certificate error? 2. Type the rp???-wak.yhgfl.net into a browser and it will show the Apache "It Works!" text? If I'm getting nothing that proves there is a problem over at YHGfL? Anybody have theirs working that can confirm what I suggested?

Do you use a proxy server for your LEA link? Set up another proxy server on an old PC using something free like smoothwall express. connect 'external' ethernet to the unfiltered router and give it an IP in the same range. Connect 'internal' ethernet to school's lan, with an internal range IP address. Simply change your proxy server to the smoothwall when needing unfiltered access. Hi, Right what I am trying to achieve sounds simple..full VPN access with a windows 7 client into my network. Currently I utilise the VPN supplied by the Grid, which gives me full access to my school's grid allocated 10.105.0.0 subnet. That would all be fine, if my internal network actually used that subnet. How I have my school's network set up is that everything is in a private address range 10.100.0.0 and all clients that require internet access go via a Forfront TMG firewall/proxy (obviously this has two network cards, one in each network). The 10.105.0.0 network contains only the outside NIC of the TMG server and a switch. How I get around the problem now is to simply allow RDP through a specific port on the TMG from authenticated users with an IP in my VPN range. This works fine in most cases, but I have specific need for full VPN. I have no idea how I can actually achieve a scenario where from the client end, I would connect to the Grid's VPN solution and just have full access to my internal network, no messing around. Any ideas?
