Well done for posting this ! I've been searching all over the web to get to the bottom of this problem, which is occurring on a new Dell Precision M4500. Followed your advice of stopping the DW WLAN System tray service, and logoff/shutdown was instant instead of the minutes it had been taking. Did you find out exactly what the service is for and if it's really necessary ?
