I encountered this same error. A little digging determined that the user in question was only experiencing this after connecting a VPN to another site. I found that the the VPN was tunneling all DNS requests. The DNS request for our exchange server was then forwarded to OpenDNS, which replied with the IP address of its webserver. I added a record in the hosts file, and the issue was resolved.
