What a long threat - what happened with the WiFi - what dod you buy?

Guys - A whole load of exchanges now offer ethernet (10 / 100) conecticity via fibre and copper connections so cost of bandwidth is no longer a barrier to cloud adoption. Companies like Opal, NTL Expo E and Global Crossing all provide 100mb internet at amazing costs - From our side all of the spending reviews have allowed us to look outside and its amazing what you can get for 8/10k

Good news - have you setup the TLS etc - shame it does just run via the SMTP username?

Ditto in the UK - all we are being hot with is a POC - proof of concept? Anyone done this?

Im not looking at Google Apps, just the Spam and AV module Postini - Is anyone using this in anger? What are the Pro's and Cons please?

These guys have just entered the UK and have good education credentials from the US Massachusetts Institute of Technology : Wifi Solution For Campuses - Meraki Wireless they are also very cost effective… you can start from a single AP that supports a,b,g,n for about £320 Its also the WiFi solution being used at this weeks IP Expo! Worth a look….

I take a slightly different view on this – I feel that most of the technology is very similar and total cost is the main driver here. Be it Meraki, Aerohive, Ruckas, HP, Cisco, etc, etc a high proportion of cost will be the management. Clearly you guys have far too much time…. A simple to deploy, simple to manage solution is the way forward. After all it all be obsolete in 3 years…. Buy the cheapest TCO platform… And take your time into consideration. Incidentally, as the Education World rightly moves to the cloud, why are you trying to create a private network?
