The thing to remember is that anything is possible with Frog. I already have a help folder on the system to point out small things like is the plug switched on to more difficult things. It is possible to create a drop down list with pointers to these help files. Basically that then creates your populationg solutions, you can also enable it to search the solutions by keyword. Remember that building frog takes time and if you do it with the right planning it saves time later on. I already had a lot of these systems in place so adapting frog to take care of them was easy. You can also have it where people put their own solution on, after you have checked them out properly, of course. This lets staff think they are geeks and saves you time creating help files.

What is it that you want to know? We use this as a way for staff to report room problems, it works because we already use an email system so the transfer over to this was very simple. We just get the email from Frog instead of the user. We also use the room booking system, although I don't use the calendar. I felt it was less intrusive and more user friendly to carry on with the simple excel spreadsheet I created. This way staff know how to use it they just don't have to open their email to request a booking. They can also access from home, which helps when they are lesson planning.

They do indeed have a huge stamp in the market and best of all, the solution is yours. Its not an out of the box ready to go "you will have this and make it work for you". Its totally customizable and if you come up with a good idea frog will make it work for you, like the white list that we wanted. Lesson plans can still be in the same format as you do them now so there is no stress for the teachers all they are doing is showing them in a different manner. We have had frog now for 2 1/2 years. We are quite a long way down the line and are involving community now also. This doesn't mean we don't still have a lot to do. And, if used properly, you actually don't have to ban a child, as I do not in AD because this does affect the way they work. The white list control makes it possible for the child to still work correctly on the internet whilst not being allowed to abuse it. I also put out a list of kids that are not to be allowed "free time" onto the teachers desktop. This means that they are not allowed in ICT clubs at lunchtime without having internet removed. Works a treat
