    Login to AD

Hi, I am not a mac expert at all. I had to rebuild our 10 macs within the Art Department. I have upgraded them to High Sierra and everything seems to have gone well. I have set their names to the following Artmac01 and added a static DNS record into AD DNS Server. I have then binded the mac into the network. There is a green light and the name of the domain. When I logout the mac it comes up with two users 1) Administrator 2) Other when I click on other it asks for username and password/ I am able to login with a domain account and password. This is my problem, when I logout the domain account and the machine returns to the login screen there is only the administrator login showing the other account icon is not there. When I login to the machine the machine is still in AD as the little green light next to the domain name is showing. Is there any one that could shed some light on this problem or point me in the right direction please. Regards, Alan

  5. Hi, I work for a school which includes boarding. We have Server 2008 Server enviroment, however the boys machines are not part of the school domain. We have created accounts for boarders which they can use at night to give them a bit more free access to the Internet using the smoothwall. These accounts have time restrictions on them. However some boys are still able to use their night account during the day. I have tried to log in with a boarding account during the day and it will not let you login so the time restrictions are working. What I want to know is how to make sure every boarding account is logged out so they are not able to use there accounts during the day. Any suggestions? Thanks, ITfool
