Hi We have araft on new Clevertouch LCD touchboards. None of them will show any kid of online vedoe, be it a news site, yourtube or iplayer. We get a "Loading Video" screen for a while then it returns to teh video launch screen. Any ideas?

Hi We have 2 Toshiba Satellite Pro R50s that keep dropping their WiFii connection. Resetting the card doesn't help but at some=point the card will start working again. They are Windows 7 and have the most upto date network drivers. Any ideas?

Hi I have a wallpaper setup for the puipls computers through a regiustry setting in GPO. The wallpaper appears at login but then is "overwritten" by the blank desktop. Any ideas?

We have TMS on our Proxy server for internet access. Like I said we can talk happily through a web prowser but ping and tracert fail, though I think that is because they cannot cope with proxy.

HI We are trying to get the Pearson/Edexcel on-line testing for BTEC Business to work. He have installd the software but are getting a Connection error on teh Administrator BAshboard. Pearson/Edexcel have said it is a problem with our comms/gateway/proxy etc. However from the server in question I can easily connect to their server in a web browser. Has anyone had this problem?

We use Filemaker 10 as a database server. All was fine until yesterday and now we cannot access the database. I have logged into the database server and ran the FM Admin Console but it cannot communicate with the databse, it is unavailable. I have restarted the Filemaker services and the whole server to no avail. Anyone have any ideas where to look? Thanks.

Hi We have recently changed our e-mail domain. To allow for this in FROG I have changed the domain in it too. However this only seems to have changed some of the user accounts while the rest remain on the old domain. Does anyone know how to bulk change the e-mail details? thanks

Surely though most schools don't teach IT, they teach ICT which is a far more end-user oriented subject? Most users don't care about SANS and the like either.

We use DHCP to assign IP addresses and they aren't tied to rooms. Our IP ranges are supplied and are not contiguous. We have been using RRC for the whole school fine until the new upgrade .

Hi. Ranger Remote Control is only listing PCs on the same IP range as the PC it is being run from. Checking into it Net View does the same. Any ideas?

Hi. We have a folder with about 1400 user folders in it. When you look at it from a command prompt it is fine, but if you use Explorer a number of the folders, several hundred, are displayed as "Documents", which makes finding the correct folder very hard. Anyone have any ideas?

Hi. To try and get some more life out of some older laptops we are looking at a Windows 7 Thin Client. Has anyone had any experience of this? Especially over wireless.

Hi. We have a Gravograph LS800. We have the software installed on 2 staff laptops. On one, a Macbook Pro that is Boot camped when we attach the printer we get a "Power surge on port hub" error. On the Toshiba laptop we can see the cutter but it fails to print, even with the cutter in "ready to receive" mode. Anyone have any ideas?

A CLC I know of has had it's IT funding slashed to about £10k a year. I feel bad for them, but still, for the last few years their budget has been disgusting. They have whole class sets if Ipods, DSLites, netbooks etc just going to waste in store rooms. They have not spent wisely at all, and now they will really suffer.

Hi. We use LanRanger to deploy software. We used to have windows 2003 servers and accessed the console screen through MSTSC /console, which gave us the LanRanger screen. Since we have one to 2008 the new MSTSC /admin switch does not give us the true console so we cannot access the LanRanger screen to deploy software. Any ideas?
