Our students found a way to prevent the login script from loading by unplugging the network cable just after the login. But since we've started using a product called Impero we've found that it can actually lock the students computer when the network cable is pulled out.

Have you had a look at Impero? We currently use it as our lab management tool, but it also has print quota and print logging functionality. Dave.
