Thanks! Really worth of having a good look. It will take time for them to build community... It is really a long term project. You can create your own course and then request administrators for approval. Who are they?.. No profiles, no information... The project is governmental. Will it be possible for them to create really democratic community? I believe it is much better to create community first, motivate folks to share information, then several recognized experts create Expert Group. And noone asks who they are and wonder why these folks decide. Further not just Experts Group, but community recognizes the member as an expert and give possibility to sell courses. Is it OK for commercial projects only?

Folks, I will make you laugh with my question ))))) What does LUFC stand for?

I estimated spendings for maintaining free software for one of my clients. They were really surprosed. Surely they didn't change open source software to a proprietary one. But they approved suggestion to hire pros to maintain, but not hire exturnal extra consultants. It seems like a golden mean for non-profits, government and big businesses. If to tell about small-business, it is often impossible for them to hire pros and then depend on them. So, they buy proprietary software, install and maintain it by theirselves and request changes from supplier. When government approve or just promote something often it becomes a "standard" for everyone, though it is not their golden mean. I believe new government policy will demage interests of small businesses and proprietary software developers both.

Let's launch the Community today! I'm in joking mood... Any way, you suggested EduGeek as a good example. It looks like wonderful place to start Free-Lance Community. It will give experienced members possibility to monetize their knowledges and will be useful for newcomers to start quickly. What do you think?

You can find any information in Internet for free. It will take time to search, read, summarize information and move from basics to expert level. You can ask forums members for advise and casual folks will answer for free. Can this information be trusted? Yes or no... it depends. If you would like to save time and get information that can be trusted you have to pay. Time value of money. You pay and affordable, accessible and experienced trainer trains and coachs you, track learning process and help you to get the most of the course in the shortest time and succeed. It is worth of paying. Yes, you are right I suggest to create Free-Lance Trainers Community.

We can empower the community to recognise member as an expert. Here is how I have it in mind: In your profile LMS-related information is viewed - My Courses, My Announcements, My Files, My Certificates. If you feel like to be recognised as an expert you just inform community that you run for Experts Group and ask them to vote. Votes from the members which passed your courses and members of Experts Group weight more. You are recognised as an expert, if at least 60% of your learners and 50% of Experts Group members who voted recognized you as an expert. I don't think it is neccessary to get involved external experts. Don't worry, I'm GLAD to discuss. I'm eager to hear opinions and analyze problems! Thank you

I mean external online based system. Yes, EduGeek is a wonderful example! What do you have in mind under problem?

Guys, Here is my idea below. May be not knew one, who knows. It would be nice to get your opinions Community enhance members to keep up to date on the latest with their business straight from the community, and pass that information along to other members. Communities have already started to use communities for self-learning. Now Communities move to the next level. They are to become online colaboration-based coaching portals. People don’t just share information, they train each other. Communities move to Coaching Portals. Communities are wonderful places to ask questions and offer advice. Some members are more experienced and can answer more questions than other. They form Expert Group, create courses and train beginners. Usual information exchange is free. If you want expert to train you, you have to pay. Affordable, accessible and experienced trainers create courses, track learning process and help learners to get the most of the course and succeed. It would be wonderful to give every member possibility to create courses and complement the community. Courses from non-experts are free of charge. Every member can be recognized as expert by community and get possibility to sell his courses. Give every member possibility to succeed online and they with share their success with you. Would you launched such StartUP?

Disagree. They don't focus on professional training providers. Just added more features for them. JoomlaLMS started from universities and colleges. Now it is used for Ocean Petroleum corporate training of their employees on an Intranet.

Guys, help! I use JoomlaLMS. 1.0.7 version has export possibilities for all reporting/info/statistics tools: support of different export formats, such as CSV, XLS, PDF. Copied from here: JoomlaLMS 1.0.7 is released! | Joomla learning management system (LMS) I checked they don't lie. But it turned to be impossible to export reporting, info, statistics tools for non-native tools... Its a pitty. I don't need it myself, but here is a girl, who need to export Atriculate quiz reports. See here: Survey Answers in Joomla LMS - Articulate Community Forums I hope it is possible to avoid customization service order and save money.

Hi guys, I need to implement sequencing functions of SCORM 2004. By now I have possibility to create educational lines in the studying process. We indicate documents a student should process, educational links a user should view, or quizzes a Student should complete. Do you have any list of sequencing functions of SCORM 2004? I would like to get an idea whithout digging SCORM requirement deeply. Could you help me?..

I don't think they will need LMS today or tomorrow ))))) First of all they plan to use social media to activate collaboration: content creation, sharing and open discussion. Only then they plan to enable employees to source and analyze massive amounts of data to power learning across the company and knowlenge sharing. It is really possible that in some time (as the third stage) they will come to integration of LMS for knowlange sharing perfection. So, I think Joomla community will have time to interate their CMS and LMS.
