  1. I am not aware of kNetviewer. I am aware of network printing, however we use mail bin sorters and a network install does not account for this, unless you have found otherwise.
  2. Thanks for the suggestion Hmm pain in the *** to set this up for 50+ users and this does not deal with the issue of continuation paper (first page letterhead then courier for all other pages) I have found out that PCL5e support for the 420i has been “lost” hence also losing the ability to switch off auto switching, I think this is one for the Kyocera development team. Be warned!
  3. Kyocera TASKalfa 420i 4 x 250 trays Staple finish 7 mail bin sorter Driver: KX_5.1.1405 Problem Auto switching between cassettes can not be switched off. We have found that by setting the source to cassette 1 this stops the printer function printing on next available tray when tray of choice is empty however this does not work when the job is in progress. Location: Print preferences under the basic options. Solutions suggested Option1. We have set the trays up with different media for each tray. Cassette 1= Plain Cassette 2= High quality Cassette 3= Letterhead Cassette 4= Bond Location: This is done at Printer lvl (type in IP address then when asked to log in password is admin00) This option is found under Printer/media input Result: no difference Option2 Changing media at machine level to a stated source. Location: Print preferences under the basic options. Result: This has to then be changed for every paper type when needed, a problem when you need to print first page letterhead then continuation page in another paper! Really who is going to have time to do this for every single document? This also means macros stop working. Option3 In printer properties under the advance tab the PDL button gives you further options. There should be under the PCL 5e an option to switch off Auto switching. Result: On the 420i machine, apparently the PCL5e support has been removed, hence losing the ability to change this option. Help!!!!
