Thanks for all your replys, We dont use network profiles we use local profiles, when a user logs on they get there profiles from the default user on the local station just the home drive is unavailable and this prevents them from saving any work etc..

Hi, when a user logs in the home drive is unavailable only on the wireless laptops now and again, is there any option in group policy to deny logon if the home drive cannot be loaded.. so that it doesnt try and load a tempory profile. thanks steven

Hi thanks for the reply, I have narrowed it down to be the URL filter when enabled IE will not load google etc when disabled all is working, the CPU usage and RAM is quite low that looks alright I am using Smoothwall Express 3 Thanks

Hi, I have just installed smoothwall and it is very slow when clicking between pages, i enable web proxy and point browsers to the smoothwall box etc and nothing cannot connect. Sometimes it works but mostly it fails any ideas? Also the Hard Disk light is constantly lit up I have just disabled the url filtering and it works perfectly now when i enable nothing works.. any ideas Thanks

Hi, I am using symantec ghost 8.3 and im having problems getting the USB key to boot up and start the imaging, I have gone through the wizard to create a bootable drive and says it is ready etc and i cannot get it to work at all the pc's support USB in bios and are set to first boot etc any ideas.. thanks steven

Hi All I have DHCP running on my server at my house and my neighbor is on the same network, We have 2 internet routers, and when he plugs a network cable in to his pc's etc he gets assigned an IP address from my server but it points his computers to my internet router is there anyway of having a DHCP at his house which assigns his computers with an IP address and then having all the computers talk to each other still? Hi, Thanks for the replies but ive found what the problem is i dont understand why it does it though but if you login on a machine it creates the profile on there in documents and settings as usual but if like u have 2 usernames in there from the server then it seems to get mixed up and show all sorts of different stuff ive deleted them now and it works fine.

Hi everyone, Has AOL blockes a port or something for Limewire as it will not connect at all and as soon as i change my default gateway to nextdoors internet router ( he is on tiscali ) it connects full bar straight away is anyone else experiencing this problem and if so, how can i fix it Thanks Steven.
