hindude

hey, i get this hl2.exe has stopped responding error whenever i open up tf2. Steam opens up just fine and tf2 starts off normally but once it gets to the game menu screen its just crashes and errors. i have tried a lot of things that i've read on other place but have not found a fix yet. Can anyone help me?
