About si289

  1. I think this sums it up perfectly... Only addition I can think of, maybe make a reference to networks being like classrooms?
  2. I didn't in the end. Things ended up going a bit mental and now I have a new job where we are using RHEL instead of SLES :-). I still keep an eye on the developments that Novell keep making which look promising! Si Edit: did you attend brainshare this year?
  3. Start with the CCENT and then progress to the CCNA. This is what I did and it gave me a midterm goal to aim for and much greater understanding overall! Much better than trying to cram it all in for a single exam.
  4. Have you thought of Zabbix? (https://zabbix.com) I found it very easy to setup and uses basic LAMP server setup.
  5. Definitely well worth it! Took it snorkelling in Egypt with a float like http://bit.ly/16xNSKa. Wrapped round my wrist, came out very well. Have yet had chance to upload to YouTube yet though. Need to edit the footage together, but my computer can't really handle the 1080p 60fps footage. This is some unedited footage I took when going gokarting: 1080p 60fps - standard helmet mount. 6. Dropbox did not used to comply with the US-EU Safe Harbour regulations which is why we never used it within our college. How ever it would seem that they are now Safe Harbour compliant and so should have no data protection issues when using it (The Dropbox Blog » Blog Archive » US-EU Safe Harbor Certification).
  7. Awesome game, getting back into it after a 7 year break.
  8. I've watched a lot of the Brainshare Videos that can be found on Youtube under Novell and the steps Novell appear to be taking look promising. We are currently running a Novell network with several SLES 10 OES 2 servers. Can't wait for OES 11 (I think) to be shipped so we can upgrade to SLES 11. We will look into the Novell TTP Organisation further, thank you for the heads up.

    NDPS / iPrint?

Looking at the PCounter website, "Pcounter for iPrint OES 2 beta testing begins soon!" It does look like PCounter are looking to implement it on OES.
