  1. Hi guys, Just a small query really, we are building up our Server 2008/Win 7 network base for the next academic year and are just going through the new software steps now, we spoke to software4students about concurrent licences, but ended up buying from pugh (the software licensing specialist) however they have informed us we need to get a keyserver program to ensure only the allowed amount of users log on to the program at any one time. They have not yet quoted us (taking their time) and only describing that the software "may be expensive". Does anyone here really know anywhere that might be able to give a competing quote for this software, and what kind of price we're needing to pay? Not sure if a server side application like this would be costing £'s or ££££££'s!! Any help/opinions wold be greatly appreciated!
  2. Hey guys, Just a query really, a few of our switches on the network don't seem to have IP's that are not fully known to us (don't ask!), so I'm trying to find the ip's out as easily as I can! Obviously the first port of call will be to plug in a laptop and work from there, but I've been trying, and having trouble with internal traceroute commands and was wondering if anyone had some advice? Any internal address I try, the tracert is only bringing up 1 direct hop, from me, to the destination, I was hoping to get a list of internal hops, any switches etc.. that are used, but I can't find a way to find this out! Any ideas on something that may allow me to achieve this? Thanks!!
  3. Thanks for confirming that, as I had thought! Typical that they don't bother consulting us IT Techs before they order Hopefully this news will make them realise an iPhone while has a "reputation" as a gadget in too many minds, its an awesome piece of kit! I've been running my work calendars/email for months on it, and shown all of the aforementioned!
  4. Hi guys, first post here, so please be gentle! :0 Our school has, today bought 7 Blackberries (I would have preferred them to have gone with iPhones due to knowing they work for the purpose they were bought) and we are having some real issues, I'm getting mail working and downloading (Not currently syncing with previous emails though) through our OWA provided by EMBC, I have also tried to get the calendar working to no avail, sycnhing it with the same details does nothing, no Outlook mailbox settings for the mailbox seem to affect the calendar functions at all. is there any known issue with syncing outlook calendars in realtime over 3g/wireless with Blackberries, (blackberry Bold, if thats helps). Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
