I work for a small car hire company. My boss has decided that he wants to put a price calculator on our website. After a bit of searching ive realised that h.t.m.l will not be good enough, which is a pain as its the only coding i know and i only know that as he asked me to learn it to sort our website out. I think the best way to go is java script. I have learnt a bit, I think i could set the page up so it looks good, but i dont have a clue when it come to the calculations. I want it to be like this Affordable Rentals Car Group A but with out the collect from as we only have one branch.] So please can someone help me out, i really dont have a clue where to start

what do you mean by sent in a html format>??

damn it!!. do you have any other suggestions on how to do it. it doestn have to be to a pdf. it could be anything that we can print that will look like the attached file ?

just spoke to my boss and he has said, is it possible for it to come to use like it is on the website. All the stuff in boxes ect ect. is that posiible, rather than coming in a email like: firstname:chris surname:boots ect.ect.

have not used php yet, but can lern. have set up an html email form it all works fine, but now my boos has decided he want it to go onto something like the file attached onto the first post.

i have made a email form for my works website, booking form- Penny Car Hire) and have just been told that now they want the infomation gathered on the from to automaticly go into a file they have made so it can be printed easily will all boxes filled out. Is it possible. the titel says pdf but it dosent have to be I only put it as that as that is the file type of the sheet they have given me. attached is the form. can the infomaton be take off the email form and but streight into the document. thanks chris BOOKING FORM.pdf

that site is not mine it is a rival car hire company. just posted that so you could see the sort of thing i am after. I will have a word with my boss when i go to work and find out if the hoost supports php. whats the best way to find that out, if he dosent know ? may have to start dumbing stuff down for me as well lads. all the talk of php and stuff!!! what do you mean by suitable html form ? and thanks mac_shinobi, you helped.... a lot !

oops missed that bit out. At first it will just simply tell them the pirce they will pay. Then they can either ring or email us. More of a price guide than anything. thanks for the replies

firstly hello to edugeek as i am new. I have joined this site as recently the upkeep/updating of our work website has been made my job. The website is set up and online using word pad a html. I have a small amount of html code knowledge, my boss seems to think i know it all. I work for a small family run car hire company, my manager has asked me to make an online price calculator for our cars. I have no clue where to start. i can do all the boxes its just making it calculate the prices. can any one shed some light on the subject for me ? p.s: please ignore spell/grammar as i am dyslexic thanks chris
