had nothing but problems with this model. I had the same issues mentioned above. During our eval of several brands of net books, my ability to image them was the final step. The Acer failed my testing, but was the teacher favorite. We are going with a dell Lat 2100, which I was able to image after completely re-installing the OS and formatting the HD a few times.
