  1. Hi I have taken over a network from a former Technician who has passed away. He hasn't written down any password information, and has disabled any other interactive logons... I do not know the Directory Recovery Partition password either, so cannot log onto it at all.. Is there any way of getting onto this server??????
  2. Hi I am trying to set up a VPN so that one client can log onto the network remotely. I have set up routing and remote access on the DC and given appropriate rights to the user. I have a public IP address from our ISP.. but this is about as far as my knowledge goes. I know I have more steps to do as it's not working, so any help, pointers, etc... would be great...
  3. It's an opticom phone that when plugged into the BT router works on the VOIP line. I have cabled up the office with 20 RJ45 data points for networking PC's... Is there a way of getting a converter and plugging these into the data points. I have never set it up this way so you are right in saying i don't know much about it. Or am i gonna have to leave it plugged into the router and get an extension cable to reach the desks i want the phone on???
  4. We have recently moved buildings, so I've cabled up 20 network points, terminated into a patch panel, which is made live through an unmanaged switch. We have two vOIP numbers, which when plugged into the router work fine. I want to be able to plug them into the data points but am unsure how to go about it. Do I need a RJ11 to RJ45 converter or is it more complicated???
  5. I have recently demoted a Server 2003 server to a member server, created a new domain, then made it domain controller. All has gone well, but now when trying to open Exchange 2003 System Manager, it tells me "There is no microsoft exchange organisation in that domain". I'm not an exchange setup expert, so need a bit of help.. Am I gonna have to reinstall exchange or is there a way to sort this???
