Many thanks I'll give that a try. I have had other cases of XP machines suddenly only printing blank pages on direct print HP printers (not networked ones), from MS Office applications, due to patch/driver version issues so that could well be the case here. Printing from an IE7 web screen has become problematic in that it can only be done by using CTL P - the print icon and file/print do nothing. It worked OK originally but I believe this to have happened after an MS patch but not positive about the cause. Anyone know how to return to normal functionality?? Cheers
