I shall add myself to the list of facepalming tech's that got suckered. I accepted the vouchers for the school, not personally, I made it clear we can't accept gifts. I was told a high yield of 20k, which considering our existing ones that are around 15k didn't seem too far a stretch. It would seem they've revised their sales patter to be a little more believable. I've got 2 toners headed to me, with a dispatch email confirming they will cost us £750! I've reported to CAB, who in turn have said they will pass on the information to the OFT for breaching the "misrepresentation act" - I urge others that have been scammed to do the same and hopefully the OFT can gather enough reports/evidence to shut them down. Can't believe I let my guard down, but I guess this is what happens on a Friday afternoon when you're up to your neck in order trial toners from different company to do some evaluations on. The guy called at the right time to catch me out.

Our students like to use images from the web for their projects, which is fine but comes attached with many issues: 1. Copyright/IP infringement 2. Usually find terrible over-compressed images of poor resolution 3. Very high risk of finding inappropriate images I was hoping we could buy a licence/collection of stock photographs that can be accessed online or a network location, for students to use in their media work. I've however not found anything that doesn't cost absolute fortunes that would appeal to students. Whilst we could keep a close eye on web filtering and allow access to more image search sites, it would still be of a huge benefit to give students access to high res photographs, especially for anything we plan on printing out on our large format printer (HP Z3200 44") as tiny little compressed for the web jpeg's just don't cut it. Does anyone have any suggestions? do you use anything yourselves?
