hi I have seen some software which will display the code of conduct on the users screen until they click accept. If you click decline it will log you off. I have a piece of software that will do this every time the user logs on,this is very annoying. I am looking for a program that will do this once a term or automatically on a schedule. Does anyone know what does this? Preferably free!? thanks nick

the addon is enabled (not sure if this is important, it says (not Verified) next to its name) with the audio, just checked, it is set to sunray RDP audio, but the volume is down and mute is ticked. I untick mute and drag volume bar up, hit apply and it goes down and muted again. I thought group policy so i have removed all policy links from this server and gpupdate /force to be sure and still happening. Although there was never a policy like that anyway.

hi I have now followed your advice and nearly got it working. I have tested it on some windows media player clips and the icon appears perfectly, however it does not apperr on youtube clips, is this correct or should it appear on youtube clips? thanks for your help.

what is SRP? i call uttsc from a logon gui script called menu.tcl. just out of interest how, for testing pupooses would i only enable/disable this for one or two rays. thanks again

hi kim, Thanks forthe reply. i have srss 4.2 srwc 2.2 and win 2003. Where would i need to put the arguments for the flash and mm redirections, i presume somewhere in the kiosk? how would i do the redirected dir thingy aswell. thanks for the reply

hiya people I have finally got round to looking at our 15 sunray 2's. I have set them up with the solaris backend and windows terminal services. I have installed the generic x kiosk session and have made a very nice logon gui. However (this is where i would like some help if poss) I have installed the windows connector tools onto the terminal server but when a flash video is played (either youtube or media player) the MMR icon does not appear in the task bar, and MMR does not seem to be working. Next point: Whilst installing the above the option for usb redirection is greyed out and usb redirection is not working(for pen drives). Have i set these programs up wrong or isthere any config to do on the kiosk side to enable it? Thanks for the reply, hope i get some:) nick

hi anyone know of any network manager/systems administrator jobs. I am in the peterborough area so would be looking at cambs lincs norfolk and possibly northants. i am currently a technician/junior systems administrator wanting to progress to a NM or SA. I have experience of lots of different technologies, i will not go into detail. I feel i could handle a network and am ready for the challenge. Thanks.

hi kim and andy, that has been very helpful sofar, i installed the srss and the srwc last night and used the web admin gui (to check apache was working.) i now plug my sunray in and it comes up with the blue sun microsystems screen with the grey box. It obtains an ip address (192.168.1.23) and a solaris server address (192.168.1.8) from DHCP server. However it should then, i have been told show up a green tick to show it has upgraded the firm ware. This machine is showing a red cross and an open padlock. Where have i gone wrong?, i presume it is looking at the tftp boot dir on the solaris server? Could it be the DHCP options (66 and 67?) what should they be set to? Or is it more likely to be the tftp boot folder? Thanks again for your help. I like the idea of these and want to be able to persuade the head to buy them!!

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction for the software and the wikis, i have just tried installing and the first problem i hit is solaris does not appear to install apache, i believe this is required? How can i install apache or how can i get it to do it during solaris install? Thanks for your help.

hi i have bought 2 sunray 2's on ebay to test out with terminal services. I have heard loads about these and if they are good and i can sell them to the head i will buy some. The problem i have is i need to set them up to demo them to the head. I know very little about the setup of these. what i do know is i need a solaris server and sunray server software. What i am asking is can someone point me in the direction of the software, is it free or is there a demo as i cannot buy it till i have shown the head!! Also can someone give me a step by step guide to installing and configuring the sunray server software and linking it in with windows TS. (I am ok at setting up TS) Thanks in advance nick

policies are computer only, however i would like user aswell, how do you get certs assigned to users aswell? Thanks for your help. if necessary i will post the log for you to see!
