The school library here and in other places is not just about books, it is a quiet and supervised area to study. Books give the room a study atmosphere (even if they're not being read!), therefore a library will always be needed.

It's not always easy to get drivers for 64bit operating systems. We use W7 64bit on most desktops, but Vista 32bit if it has a scanner attached. Also some old curriculum software doesn't run on 64bit OS's, so we're in a transition phase.

I'm running W7 pro on domain computers with similar specs and had no problems so far. W7 Ent requires larger disk space so i figured W7 pro was the way to go on older machines.

If you've got the MS schools agreement, try forefront 2010 for exchange. Works reasonably well at no extra cost.

I had the same problem, it's because you are probably using the latest version of xampp, you need to reinstall everything using the older version of xampp.

I've just installed exchange 2010 on a hyperv server within a network which is using exch 2007. It automatically picks up all the settings from exch 2007 so there's not much to do in the way of configuration. They are co-existing quite happily, however - I'm about to shutdown exch 2007 and divert mail straight to 2010 which might prove to be a bit more tricky.

I upgraded mine in a live enviroment with no problems. Remember, if like me you have Forefront protection 2010 for exchange server, you need to stop the forefront services first before applying the service pack.
