An opportunity has arisen for an experienced ICT Technician to join our Academy. This role would suit an enthusiastic and driven individual who is flexible to meet the needs of the Academy, who can oversee and manage the delivery of an outstanding service and provision for all needs. Lostock Hall Academy uses SIMS as its MIS and this is used for registration, assessment, reporting, communication, attendance and behaviour. There is a limited wireless network throughout the Academy that we would like to expand and we are hoping to invest in the future, in additional laptops and mobile devices. There are four dedicated ICT suites and a number of other classrooms that have a number of computers in them for students to use. Other areas that you will have responsible for is the telephony system, reprographics, setting up users with access to print services through Papercut. The Academy uses Office 365 as the main tool for email communication and collaborative work and Schoolcomms for home Academy communications. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability and capacity to manage their immediate team.
