  1. Sorry we don't but we understand it would kick in at 250 devices. The cost is based on staff FTE.
  2. Sorry to bump but we've found Airwatch have special educational discounts and a FTE model for charging if you get past a certain number of devices. We've been quoted £12 per device per year on a hosted model or £6 per device per year for on premise solution. There is an initial setup cost of around £1800 for the on premise consultancy. On premise is a requirement of the FTE model which becomes cost effective as the number of devices grow.
  3. How are you syncing their work each day? Are you using a piece of software from Microsoft?
  4. Thanks for replying Rabbie unfortunately the thread doesn't answer my question about backups. I have now found out you can disable features such as messaging although I'm still unsure if you can restore backups if students deletes files on their skydrive. Any ideas?
  5. Hi All We are looking into using live@edu for our student accounts. There seems to be many benefits such as 25gb of storage on SkyDrive, 10gb in Outlook Live, the new Office 365 which is coming and more. Is there anyone else using it? How do you find it? Are you using it for staff as well? Are there any drawbacks or problems with the service? If a student deletes work by accident can you restore it? Do they backup often? Can you disable features such as messaging, blogs, etc? I know our students would most likely abuse it. How are students finding it when they open large files? Is your data connection coping? Sorry for all questions but I couldn't find the answer to these on Microsoft's website. Thanks
  6. Hi All Linescanner would it be possible to have a contact for that school? Joe also could I give you a ring regarding a visit?
  7. I was thinking of a college or school who are using thin clients for your typical office apps, web browsing, etc. Pushing out XP, Vista or Windows 7.
  8. Hi All We are looking into thin client solutions and would appreciate it if we could visit a site who are using them. Is there anyone who wouldn't mind showing us their setup and answering a few questions. It would be a great help.
