I need an engineer with good experience of supporting primary school curriculum networks for a client of mine. Needs to also have a reasonably current CRB. The role is to support a cluster of schools, would require own transport and hopefully be able to start within one week although those not available until Jan 4th would also be considered. so ordinarily no further north than top of northants, no further east than cambs, no further west than oxford and no further south than greater london but one of the stipulations will be that should a moajor piece of work come up off patch you will be required to muck in or cover other customer support people in other regions overnight stays occassionally can you think of anyone grumbldook? your help would be most appreciated and your in patch! -

MIS Consultant (UNIT-e) (UK wide, £25,000 - £35,000 depending on experience) Leading educational group requires a MIS Consultant to support and develop the use of UNIT-e throughout the group. We are looking for someone that possesses excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deliver consistent, effective and efficient data administration using Capita's UNIT-e. Key responsibilities will include: Ensuring the full adoption of UNIT-e as the primary student administration system across all education establishments, working closely with all education functions to develop and implement business, academic and related MIS processes, working closely with colleagues to deliver consistent use of the IMS through the implementation of documentation, training and communication, record keeping and agreed policies and procedures. I think it starts at 25, the school terms are much shorter than state sector so the summer holidays are usually 2 months long, although the it team are still there, its a queiter time or great for doing big projects if thats whats in the plan -
Does anyone know anyone who is capable of training on site in school on Integris or G2?

well conversly I'm just going to go and meet a sims contractor of mine who;s been working for me on contract for 6 years!! (multiple locations of course) and has probably earnt twice as much as his permanent counterpart every year, and i try not to let him rest too much ;-) I guess it depends on what skills you know, how in need they are and how flexible you would be to working in different locations, its not for everyone -

well thats true but they could also do with a probation period which most perm contract have but yes it is what it is -

well if it makes anyone feel any better, think of it as a perm job with a 6 month probation the daily rate during this 6 months is negotiable so could be an opportunity to earn a higher rate to make up for the perceived insecurity role is a permanent job but the school need a 6 month period to make sure they definitely get the right person for the job before the extensive benefits package kicks in like up to 10% pension, free gourmet meals, life cover, death in service, state of the art gym on site (£10 per month), good holidays -

This is a school I have a very strong relationship and have placed many of their ICT team so I am happy to talk in detail about their requirements as long as you are suitable for the role -
ICT Support Supervisor (@£30-35K equivalent) This is an excellent opportunity in a large and well funded Independent school unbelievable benefits package too ICT support supervisor required for long interim contract with the goal of turning permanent in 6 months time. My large independent school client in North London requires an ICT engineer with experience of Secondary school networks to a sys admin/network manager degree, demonstrable experience of leading from the front in improving ICT response, effecting improvements in education delivery with the increases use of ICT. You must have secondary schools experience of user accounts administration and strong windows 2003, AD and exchange support from a day to day perspective, managing technicians work load, superb communication skills at every level is essential. You will have the support of the ICT strategic manager on server and support them on strategic/project matters but be responsible for the day to day running of the service especially with 2nd line software and hardware issues including support of SIMS, Moodle, blackberry server, fibre, switches and the telephones. 1st round Interviews to take place on 1st October, schools experience is essential and contract to start 19th October. sorry rates vary dependent on location but anywhere from £80-120 per day -
I have won a project whuich requires a number of RM CC3 and CC4 engineers, it is contract work although my experience is that this will run and run. Ideally I need someone who has relatively immediate notice IE start monday, although this may be flexible for the right candidates. I require a reliable CRB cleared ICT technician for an immediate start, capable of doing desktop support in a number of schools, mostly in west London, supporting ict users and working within a peripatetic ICT team. OK i'll admit this is unlikely but if anyone is looking for work and has good experience of EMS, SQL and Crystal Reports (and possibly sims) I have a 3 month contract in London area on a helpdesk supporting various ems users across the council.
