Well, yeah... Our classroom setup is not quite standard. We just have identical machines (one per IWB/Classroom) which is joined to a workgroup with the same name as the domain. But yes, the login is an administrator's account level. Whats your thought....? I did forget to mention that these machines are XP PRO SP3...

Hi All, Not 100% about this being posted in the correct place. I need some advice, I have an old 500 series IWB, which as always is fine when I see it but when the teaching member of staff is in that room complaines of the machine not holding alignment. I called Steljes whom today seem to really hate me as they tell me that they simply will not offer advice to me about this board due to its age. D'oh! I'm pretty sure that the acutal board is ok, IE the touch part. I'm not so sure abotu the rest. The board used to have a different PC on it (Our PC's follow sthe staff when they move rooms), So having spoken to the previous member of staff I was told that he too had issues with alignment. Am using Smart Notbook 11 now, the board is a 500 series and holds alignment for about 10 mins. Also, strangely having the same issue with an SB660 too... Any advice would be great. All drivers/software up to date. Ta Muchly JT

Just had two of the three UPS's that I have apart, two "look ok" but the third had split batteries inside My plan I think is to buy a set of abtteries and test ONE ups out....! If this works then i'll buy another set and so on!!! The hutr is now on for batteries at a cost effective price!

Hi All, Got a bit of an odd situation here. under my server cab has been 2 smartUPS's... Not been used for ages nor plugged in. Now, I know that they were working last time they were plugged in. I have plugged them both in and they are BOTH completely dead. Nothing at all.,.. I have ched the IEC leads and they are fine, I have even plugged a PC in to the UPS with the ups on the mains and again nothing. Ive followed the online instructions and nada. Anyone got any tips? Many Thanks JT @ Ashton Middle

Hello All, Long time reader, first time poster! We've got issues that we're finding hard to find a solution to. We recently had a unify 35 shrot throw projector installed in place of out celing mounted one. This was done as the classroom above created enough vibration to make you fel sick if you tried to view it for too long. So, The smartboard we have is a Smartbaord 660 coupled with this Unify 35, by Texas Instruments. In theory all is well... In practice this is not the case. The issues we have are as follows:- 1) You can't seem to remove the projectors OWN small menu from the screen, only move it from bottom left to middle left (Then only with fewer icons) 2) You need to oreint the porjector and baord (both units) at least every 15 mins otherwise the thing becomes so out of sync you can't use it 3) The menu buttons and volume buttons on the pen tray do not work at all 4) The input for things like VCR / DVD seems to only allow sound and no image. 5) Projector seems to go in to standby unless almost always being used. So, I hear you ask, What have you done to try and fix?? 1) I have carried out the latest firmware update on the baord and Projector = No change 2) Loosend the screws under the pen tray to help illiminate the kink on the board (this did help) 3) Made sure that the smart software was up-to-date What do I have planned next? I plan to prepare a new machine with nothing other than Smart software which will be updaetd untill it can't be done anymore and give this a trial. Although, I doubt this will help. Sp, are there any known issues with the above equipment? The board is no longer in warranty with Steljes either! Cheers All, AMS
