Hi guys, I'm currently in a pickle. I recently upgraded to Redstones Broadband Max up to 8meg service. However, i'm only acheiving speeds of just under 2meg. I've contacted them and they say it must be due to the quality of the copper and the distance from the exchange etc, however a parent that lives just down the road gets over 6 meg. So annoying! So Edugeeks, what are my options? We are an independant school so aren't linked up to the LGFL or anything like that. How can I get faster speeds? Thanks in advance guys.

Apologies Webman, the hard drive is out of an old Sharp laptop. I though the easiest way to try and get some data off would be to connect it to my Dell desktop. I don't have any other Sharp laptops unfortunately.

Hi guys, I wonder if anyone could help me. I have a few dell Dimensions which are running a SMART board. If the SMART board isn't used for 20 minutes or so the green light turns red and of course becomes unresponsive. I've checked the power management in the USB Root Hub and the SMART board service doesn't stop. One of those problems that you know should be simple to fix but have just run out of ideas. Cheers
