It appears to me only certain accounts... must be something to do with password policies..... I have been looking in the wrong place..

I got this to work ages ago but then shelved the project. We have since decided to revive it so I created a new build. Everything seemd to go well, all the users have been pulled in from LDAP but when they try to log in the won't authenticate. I am not sure how to trouble shoot this i.e. where are the log files (I am running Ubuntu 10.04) Once the install is complete there is no where one can go to check you LDAP OU filteres etc. I would appreciated any suggestions. I have followed the walkthroughs on the web and can't see what I've done wrong.

Ok so the problem was "Why are you putting it in the dmz?... it needs full windows netbios access ???" So I've moved it back into the network and will punch a pinhole through the firewall.

The error looks different to what I remember but I probably remember wrong :-) For the filter I used OU=RosminiCollege Users,DC=rosminicollege,DC=school,DC=NZ The username and password is the main system admin Not sure what else to try.

Aaagh excuse my typo in the subject line When I couldn't get the linux build to work in the DMZ, we moved it back into the network for testing purposes. The error is something along the lines that it couldn't connect to the ldap service using the account provided (not a work at present so can not check). I will check how I've set up the DNS when I get back tomorrow, but I think it's fine. As far as LDAP goes, the settings are all IP so DNS shouldn't be a problem.... I would think; just really frustrating that the windows build worked lol

We originally tried Adito using a Windows XP build (can't find the URL we used). We go it all to work but then decided we would rather have it working in Ubuntu. Using Ubuntu Server 8.10 and following How to install Adito on Ubuntu Linux | Jared Heinrichs, We installed Adito. Unlike the Windows build however, Adito in this case will not connect to our LDAP. My guess is that I need to install some sort of LDAP connector/service on the Ubuntu build, but am not sure.

How do I get adito to map a share the the user's home directory (when they login onto adito). The user's home directory is the same as their login ID. Adito is connecting to a Windows 2003 network.
