ICT Support Junior Technician Required for immediate Start 36 hours per week, 52 Weeks per year (20 days holiday) £12k The Ravensbourne School is a mixed academy with 1450 students, 600 workstations and 300 laptops. We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated technician to work under the direction of the Network Manager to provide daily support for staff and students for all aspects of ICT within the school. You will be proficient in supporting clients running a Microsoft operating system with Microsoft Office on a Windows based network. Knowledge of ICT in educational environments would be an advantage. Your varied duties will require working closely with teachers, students and administrative staff. You will need to have a positive ‘can do’ attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment. POST TITLE: ICT Support, 2nd Line Engineer LINE MANAGER: ICT Support Network Manager REMUNERATION: Scale 4 Point 18-21 WORKING HOURS: 36 hours a week, 52 Weeks per Year EFFECTIVE FROM: April 2013 PURPOSE The post holder will work closely under the guidance and direction of the Network Manager to provide technical advice and support to staff and students on the use of all teaching and administrative ICT systems. To support the maintenance of hardware and the administrative control of ICT assets as guided by the Line Manager. The post holder will be required to communicate on a daily basis with all staff within the school to support them as required and as directed by the Network Manager. In addition they may be required to take an active role in training/supporting teachers or demonstrating aspects of ICT to students.
