For the new hard disk, under the 'Actions' menu, there have several choices, 'Initialize', 'Verify', 'Synchronize', 'Clear'. Can you tell me the meaning of these four choices? Thanks a lot!

It is part of the raid 5. I have try to make it become a hot spare, but it still in critical. Thanks for your help!

Hi all I have a server using windows 2003 server, 4 hard disks for raid 5 running IBM serveRaid manager. Recently, one hard disk fail and I replace it with different brand but same size new hard disk. After install it into the server, I "Synchronize" the new hard disk in the IBM serveRaid manager. But it does not rebuild the data, and shows "Ready" but not "Online". I have attach the picture of my server. Can anyone tell me why? Thank you very much!
