You currently have to have all monitors in the same res for eyefinity. You can however set any screen you want primary and just extend teh desktop to the others for work. You can have your toolbar on the middle monitor. If you set your monitors as a group they can be in many configurations for work or play check out eyefinity configurations in google search. Also check out Ultra monitor. With it I have a single desktop and my toolbar on each window with the programs for each window on it's own toolbar. In my screen shot the toolbar you see is the middle monitor. The left monitor is not taking shots with my screen shot software but it is also on an an 8800GTX and has it's own set of drivers so not surprised that there is an issue. I am gaming now in triple screen with SoftTH if you want to give that a go it supports custom resolutions and you just need another video card for the 3rd video output. Monitor 3 can come from any card...your primary card renders the resolution. Look at my profile picks for a better look at what I am doing with a 4870 till my 5870 gets here. Back on topic I wonder how much of a gain I will see in my windows score with the 5870 over my 4870 ?

Update on my score and I will have another when I get my 5870 in a few days. For some reason I cannot take a screen shot of the left monitor. Maybe when it gets here I can take a full 3 monitor shot with Eyefinity. This is also on my online server MCM in Crysis Wars. Running media player all of my chat apps vent and another few things I'm sure I cant remember now. It is so stable I could cry and the whole thing is this possible because I have win 7. In vista I could not run to proprietary video drivers but now I can. Enabling me to run ATI and Nvidia side by side for this performance. I could not afford to get another video card and these are what I had. so Win 7 saved me for gaming. I could have had this setup in XP but then no DX10.

Oh how I would love to have a SSD but I like to run at least 500GB on my master because I like to install all my games on it. Everything else is on a slave or well slaves . Downloads documents music video everything. But I should enter also as I would like to give one a go and I can't afford one. But just as well. If i could...I might be one of those people who just buy a comp instead of building one. In my book that's not good at all. My computer is fast cause I'm broke lolz. So I milk it for all it's got.

I re enabled the quick launch from Vista. The easy way I do it is take all the shortcuts you want in a grid and put them in a folder. Right click the taskbar and go to toolbars add new toolbar. Then browse to the folder you made for your shortcuts and click select folder. It will then appear on your taskbar. You can right click the grid that you have made (toolbar must be unlocked) and change options like if you want to show text beside the icons or if you want a title in text for the toolbar. I turn off text all together in my toolbar grids. The default title for the toolbar will be the name of the folder you made. So if you use the title on your toolbar you can change the title by changeing the name of the folder. Also If you want to have the oridiginal quicklaunch back...Just go to toolbars add new toolbar and where it says folder paste in this %appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch Then you can right click and change the options of the quick launch. I have 6 grids or toolbars enabled. One is quick launch and the others are just folders with shortcuts. One for tools one for reg games one for triple monitor games one for benchmarks...You smell what I'm stepping in mane? lolz Anyone who finds this post useful please click the thank button:D I have yet to get one here.

Well I just realized I think I posted my scores in the wrong forum before. So here ya go.

It is fun! I still need to upgrade my vid card in a bit. Bet she runs nice. I want one but I don't think I will get 5770. I don't like the 128bit bus. But if you OC the Ram just a bit you will see a nice increase in your frames and stability to a point because you open the memory bandwidth. That is the bottleneck in these cards and in mine. Enjoy I want Eyefinity soooo bad I cannot stand it.

I have a Ubuntu 9.04 partition also with compiz cube and all that jazz. It's fun but I like my Win 7 for games and such. It was just a novelty to have transparent windows and a desktop cube in linux. But no real grafix power...No Direct X support at all yet. I could get some fixes and such and play a game I beat on PS2...Eight years ago. Or I could just live with what I got.

Also if I am missing anything or if you notice any problems with the setup let me know. This is my first build and I have been working on it for about a year now. Limited on cash and most of the comp like the monitors came to me broke and I replaced caps and such. (I love broken stuff) So in total I have spent $1010 on my rig. I am new to all of this I just got on a laptop 2 1/2 years ago and started playing Unreal 2004 at the bar on wifi. So please don't be to crucial if I have missed something. But by all means let me know what you think.

IDK I like it that way and auto hide. I have a lot of stuff to still put on here I got my quick launch back too. The second group of game launchers are all games I have working in triple monitor goodness.

I got 7.5 down the board Except my HD's...Ram is 7.6...But this is desktop build...5.9 on HD... I use PhysX wit My XFX 8800 GTX 512MB DDR3...RENDER with my SAPPHIRE RADEON 4870 1GB GDDR5...Love it!!!
