Thanks. Omnibook obtained for few quid on Ebay. Good condition, starts and runs BIOS ok. Being older novice am keen to take on challege to get it operational for wife! New approach. Found Toshiba CD Rom drive with PCMIA cable and card which seems to be plug compatible with the Omnibook; unfortunately, the Drive doesn't run. Tomorrow, maybe Ebay or local Maplins can produce a low cost PCMCIA Drive. Sounds good??

Thanks or prompt helpful suggestion. Omnibook 900B has version 1 USB, would that be a practical interface and are compatible optical drives readily available. (A quick look at the Drives on the supplier website you suggested appear all USB version 2.)

Have acquired HP Omnibook 900B F1769W. No operating system. Need Caddy/Docking station that will enable Windows98 from available CD to be installed. Secondary requirement, DVD drive. Advice and required hardware offers please.
