About andycoates

  1. Ah good to know about TS 6.1 functionality, thanks
  2. Heya, This was more of a "what if..." in my head so I'm not sure if its even possible! Is it possible to get thin clients with multiple monitor support, that can run multiple remote desktop clients so you can have one on each monitor? If so can anyone recommend any? I also believe some virtual desktop software (I think it was XenDesktop?) lets you create a virtual desktop that can span multiple monitors locally? Does that depend a lot on the local hardware, or is it more application specific? I have a vague recollection that vmware didn't support multiple monitors, though can't recall if it was hardware related or not.. Thanks, Andy.
  3. Yeah the intention was to boot straight into a virtual server so nothing I can think of running locally. I guess the thought in the back of my mind was how CPU/memory intensive some of the remote client software can be (RDP or ICA). Cheers!
  4. Hey, I'm currently looking around at the various Thin Client desktops and I'm wondering what impact the memory and processor speed have. A lot of the newer ones seem quite a big step up in specification, so was curious if there was a need for it. TIA, Andy.
